Cathy Smale returns to Baldock Arts and Hertiage Centre with a new art exhibition this autumn.
celebrating familiar favourites and continuing collectable series, enjoy a mix of new paintings and older pieces.
work created over the last 10 years, since Cathy first exhibited here, again inspired by birds, Baldock and beyond.
Visit on the opening weekend - friday 9 and saturday 10 oct - and you can meet Cathy, talk about the latest showcase and be first to see the artwork.
With a distinctive style that is both popular and unique, Cathy paints work that is easily recognisable and has featured in galleries and exhibitions across Hertfordshire.
Taking inspiration from all around, the paintings describe experiences, places and events. The subjects and locations are diverse, including memories of travels near and far, using details from sketches and photos.
The images are built up in layers of oil colour with brushes and a palette knife which adds a textural quality yet retains the lines of the initial drawing.
As a professional artist, Cathy paints full time from her studio in Hitchin.
